Therapy for Anxiety, OCD, & Related Disorders

Hi, I’m Rachel Freed, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist licensed in New York. I specialize in supporting adults dealing with anxiety, OCD, and the everyday stressors that come with work, relationships, identity, and major life transitions. I currently offer telehealth services to clients across New York state.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized. Together, we’ll explore what’s driving your anxiety or stress and build practical skills to help you feel more grounded and confident. Over time, my goal is to help you become your own therapist, equipped to handle challenges with clarity and resilience.

I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and incorporate exposure and response prevention (ERP) when helpful, especially for OCD. My background in anxiety and mood research guides my work and ensures that the strategies we use are grounded in the latest science.

If we work together, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and empowered with tools that truly make a difference.
